At least five people have been killed and seven others injured in an explosion in Afghanistan’s eastern Nangarhar province.
The explosives were placed on a motorcycle and detonated near a stadium in Jalalabad, a spokesman for the governor said in a statement.
Attaullah Khugyani said authorities have yet to determine whether Sunday’s blast was by a suicide bomber.
No group has claimed responsibility for the incident, which took place while crowds rallied in the city in support of Afghan President Ashraf Ghani.
Khugyani said the rally was not affected by the blast.
Two members of the Afghan security forces were killed and seven others injured in three back-to-back explosions close to a private radio and TV station in Jalalabad on Saturday.
