NORTH Korea has launched a ballistic missile from an area north of the capital Pyongyang, South Korea’s official news agency reports.
The unidentified missile flew east from South Pyongsong Province early Wednesday at dawn local time, South Korea’s military chiefs told Yonhap.
There are few details about the launch as yet, with CNN reporting that the missile is still in the air.
South Korea and US authorities are analysing the trajectory of the missile.
The rogue nation’s latest act of aggression is likely to send shockwaves around the world.
This is the first time the North has launched a ballistic missile since September 15.
